The staff were very friendly. The reception area was welcoming and attractive decor in that area.
Our room was very small and dated. The bathroom was tiny and really unacceptable for a modern hotel. We also ordered a 7.30 am wake up call which wasn't made. This is unacceptable from any hotel.
Excellent food, served well.
Rooms a little "tired" Refurb is definately due!
Didn't have dinner in the acclaimed restaurant, but the breakfast was excellent. Choice of full English, kippers or smoked haddock. Fabulous location with views over the Cheshire Plain and Peak District. Comfortable and bright first-floor room – Fanshawe – in corner of main house with 'detached' bathroom across private passage.
Idiosyncratic plumbing, but which seemed to work okay. Slight air of faded grandeur that was endearing if anything.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good too. Would recommned this hotel to anyone wanting to spend time in Alderley edge as it is a short walk 2 minutes to the village.
Room shabby and overcrowded. Synthetic pillows with no alternative
The rooms were newly refurbished, staff very friendly and service excellent.
Lovely hotel, very clean and friendly.
Room was lovely but a little on the small side. Also, drinks are very expensive which goes with the area really!
The location was convenient for facilities in Alderley Edge and gives easy access to Manchester and Stockport; breakfast very good.
The failure of the hotel to honour the resevation for an executive room; the standard room provided was one of the smallest I have ever seen masquerading as a "double". The failure of the hotel to apologise for this, and simply to blame Booked.net for the error. I have written to them on this point, and await their response. Do not stay at this hotel in a standard double unless you are a solo traveller or very small!
We had the Arley Suite. Excellent breakfast in room and lovely views overlookong parts of Cheshire. Dined in Resteraunt with my loval relatives. Very good food and service
Food is excellent, staff are helpful but on this visit i was staying in thr adjacent cottage.I was in a very large well furnished high class room but it was let down by the heating. It was a cold night outside but not much warmer inside, the staff were obviously aware of this and had plugged in a small electric heater but it was not up to it.I do not mind a cool bedroom but this was Baltic.
The hotel staff were excellent, welcoming and friendly and for a night out in Alderley Edge, its location is perfect.
The room, despite being nicely decorated and pretty well equipped, was very small and really only suitable for one person.
Stayed before-restaurant is excellent.Lovely building,just upgrading rooms.Love the place,definitely returning(again)
That all the members of staff were very friendly when we arrived at the hotel.
That we had to keep the fan on throughout the night in our room as it was to warm in the room, and we had bad headaches in the morning.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff (as you should expect). Lovely food. Comfortable.
Although the room was comfortable and had a lovely view, it needed updating. The walls had splashes and stains. The bathroom not the nicest. The throw on the bed had water stains (I hope). All this in no way spoilt our stay, just a little attention to detail required.
Location to local ammenities was good. Staff were pleasant and facilities were good. Excellent breeakfast.
Bedroom was very warm, even with windows open and fan on. Mini bar fridge was broken, so there fore didn't use that facility.
